  • About Ali & Kundalini Yoga

My name is Ali. I am a metis women, dedicated to living a good life.

Prior to discovering my connection to my metis heritage, and ceremonies of Turtle Island, I wandered around, looking for peace and healing.

I travelled a lot to Boulder Colorado, the Catskills of New York, and Vancouver, living, breathing, and studying Eastern Philosophy.

I have been practicing Tibetan Buddhism since I was 18 years old and feeling a deep connection to it through my Mongolian lineage on my father's side.

While my world fell apart after giving up my art-space in Winnipeg, I travelled to BC and got my Yoga Teacher Training in Kundalini Yoga.

I have experienced powerful experiences deep in trance, one with the na'ad, my Yogi name, Rama Kirtan Kaur "she who experiences enlightenment through the sacred sound current".

I spent almost 10 years avoiding teaching Kundalini Yoga, only teaching here and there when my intuition told me to.

In the past year, I have felt called to teach.

    Why?

Because for me, it helps remove negative energy from my body, it lightens me up, and it makes my core strong. Having a strong body has revealed itself, more and more, to be a key element of living a happy life.

I'm quite honored to be able to offer these benefits to others, by leading class.

Please watch the video above to learn more about the benefits and dangers of Kundalini Yoga, and make an informed choice about whether or not it's right for you.
